How To Create A Friendly Real Estate Relationship For All

In every work setting or business setting, having a peaceful and friendly environment for everyone is a vital tool to grow that business. You can’t have a toxic environment and expect positive work returns “kolework” lol.

In real estate it is believed that realtors are the friendliest, they are always smiling and always wanting to start a good conversation with prospects who they believe they can convert into leads then end up becoming clients. As much as this is true and very much needed from every realtor it is important to know that, realtors shouldn’t be the only ones creating a friendly environment for all. It is the duty of everyone who have found themselves in any business environment to learn the act of being cordial with everyone they encounter.

Essence of having a business friendly environment / Relationship

A business friendly environment is very important as it fosters economic growth, attracts investment, promotes innovations and enhances sustainable development. As a business owner, realtor, interior designer or property owner it is very crucial to adopt a friendly work ethic. Most contracts and sales have been sealed solely on how welcoming the business set up was and how receptive the workers are.

Creating a friendly real estate environment

Let’s properly dive into how to create a friendly real estate relationship focusing on realtors, property owners, clients and everyone involved. A realtor is already primarily obligated as stated above to be friendly cause he has set sales targets to meet and needs to ensure all connections are made. We need to understand that they  aren’t just the only ones who need this ethic, as a potential buyer you need to be receptive to realtors for them to be able to properly sell their speech to you. I know some people tend to cross social boundaries when you are too friendly with them but you need to know when to walk way peacefully when you have given someone a listening ear and they still failed to win you over. At so many webinars, seminars and conferences, realtors have expressed how challenging it is to connect with prospects because they get turned down before they even talk. This is worrisome and buyers need to understand that every marketer or realtor are human’s first bef0re anything. I personally have seen marketers who struggle to start a conversation with a potential buyer cause they are scared of being snubbed or embarrassed. Realtors are already naturally pressured to be friendly and create connections that will lead to sales so you will hardly find a realtor who isn’t friendly.

For property owners who own these properties that would be sold by the realtors or furnished by the interior decorator, it is paramount to know that the only way to increase sales and getting a job well done is by keeping to your own end of the deal. Severally, I have heard and seen cases of realtors complain that their commission was slashed or not even given after sales have been made or after an interior job have been properly delivered.

Most of the property owners sometimes become greedy after sales have been made and want to keep a substantial amount to themselves. This isn’t only cheating and fraudulent but also breeds a toxic business relationship which could truncate trust and reduce business growth. It is also very important that realtors, workers or interior designers have a binding legal agreement that will protect them from property owners who fail to keep to their own side of the bargain.

FINAL NOTE

It is unfair to think that a friendly relationship should be one sided in any business setting just cause you have nothing to lose, every business needs good relationship which will help build long lasting trust. A good business relationship creates room for business sustainability, economic growth and customer service relationship.
